Number 26

The Code is e82kni8l

We found it at speakers...we didn't have an image so from here on out I am using this glyph as a place holder till the real glyphs are found...

That puts us up to 26. Almost halfway there!

At 11:10 AM, Blogger dfizz said...

it really is ridiculous that you have to be in the UK or AUS to discover certain codes. OR ON A SPECIFIC STREET CORNER IN SYDNEY!

getting pretty tedious and unrewarding.

At 11:14 AM, Blogger DarkMark said...

what up dfizz? i think this is kinda weak as well.

At 11:15 AM, Blogger Hagbard Celine said...

ok....dfizz...for the last time man....the images of the street glpyhs are plants.....ok......nobody discovers them.. they are placed there the picture is taken and the it is posted...

the phone thing...that is kinda dumb yes..

At 11:16 AM, Blogger Cole said...

I second the weakness. Double weak is that I'm at work and can't listen to the new codes I input this morning to place them.

My Grand Unified Theorem is faltering here, folks. GET ME SOME SPEAKERS!!!

At 11:17 AM, Blogger Hagbard Celine said...

what grand unified theorem cole? you a string theorist?

At 11:20 AM, Blogger Cole said...

Well, that too. Ever read "Escher, Godel, Bach"? Good stuff. I'm just versed enough in theoretical physics to know that serious M Theory discussion is beyond my ken. :)

In this particular instance, I was talking about the Grand Order. Of the fragments, I mean.

At 11:21 AM, Blogger Hagbard Celine said...

Ah gotcha...I have had many interesting talks about m theory...I love physics lol

At 11:22 AM, Blogger dfizz said...

if they're plants hag, which i'm sure they are, that is even WEAKER. what is so hard about hiding the glyphs and then have Speaker, Lost Ninja and Other Girl provide clues? (a la the javisminions code)

At 11:23 AM, Blogger lostnuts said...

Can someone remove my F5 button?

At 11:24 AM, Blogger Hagbard Celine said...

They have a time line...they can't wait for people to figure things out...

what happens if they make a clue to hard to find...or even worse they makes several to hard to figure out..

then its time for the next phase and we only have 60/70 glyphs...they can't move on.

They need to make sure that they stay on track

At 11:26 AM, Blogger lostnuts said...

Hag r u one of THEM? You're scaring me buddy

*points in corner*.......

JOOP!!!

At 11:32 AM, Blogger dfizz said...

hag i understand, but i think its pretty clear that the people following the game are pretty damn smart when you hide the glyph and provide a clue (as opposed to just burying it somewhere, saying its been released, and then never providing a clue). the javisminions.com code took about 5 minutes for someone to find and that wasn't easy by any means.

At 11:33 AM, Blogger chucklez3 said...

coming soon:

Valenzetti-O's
Joop Loops
DHARMA-meals

At 11:34 AM, Blogger Hagbard Celine said...

actually alot of the problem isn't that we are to smart...its that we are to resourceful...

you see alot of what is done is considered cheating..

like the scanning xml files and decompiling .swf files.

it would be alot harder for people to find these things if we followed the rules.

At 11:34 AM, Blogger chucklez3 said...

they're all either "plants" or "conveniently" found by "in-gamers".

At 11:34 AM, Blogger dfizz said...

and btw i don't think that the AUS comic book clue was previously hidden and then provided when no one discovered it. though thats obviously what happened with yesterday's clue...other girl finally gave us a hint about the mobile text thing. but still, anyone outside of the UK couldn't have texted even if they suspected they were on to something.

At 11:35 AM, Blogger chucklez3 said...

with the exception of a few.

At 11:36 AM, Blogger ArtsyTartsyViray said...

I truly believe that is the best glyph..ever!

At 11:37 AM, Blogger Hagbard Celine said...

:) thank ya..

At 11:37 AM, Blogger lostnuts said...

Yeah but Hag- even if your doing that....which I can't - at least it's looking for it. Not just by refreshing Ninja's Speaker's Or OG's pages ya know?....DAMN I must work....must work...must work...AHHHHHHHHHHHH

At 11:38 AM, Blogger Hagbard Celine said...

so you think TPTB should encourage cheating just because its.....active?

At 11:39 AM, Blogger ArtsyTartsyViray said...

Is anyone going to post their tentative order.. i mean.. iv'e got mine in a tentative order.. but i think the "main chunks" of the video are outta order for me..

You know.. when he's talking about the equation... i think my order of that is so far.. pretty decent..

And the order of when he speaks about the island.. ya.. pretty decent.. but i'll see it more when we get more frags..

But the general order of it all.. i'm not sure what comes first..

The orientation video.. THEN middlewerk..

Or.. vice versa..

And in the video.. i'm not sure which comes first..

Talking about the equation.. or the island..

You get what i'm saying??

Maybe not..

At 11:40 AM, Blogger Hagbard Celine said...

I get what your saying

and it is the film THEN mittlewerk

At 11:42 AM, Blogger lostnuts said...

Ummmmm, no, I uh mean, that um, well, it should be able to be found, but, in the meantime since The CATSEYE and now this Glyph just magically APPEAR- cheating would be better then what we are presently doing.....now I am removing that damn F5 button if it kills me........"Hey Bob Joop how the heck r ya?"

At 11:43 AM, Blogger dfizz said...

i think its possible that its mittelwerk, then film, then more mittelwerk.

think about it...she's hiding in a box, filming mittelwerk give the welcome to the people he's talking to on the boat, he then plays the video, then she turns the camera back to him.

At 11:44 AM, Blogger lostnuts said...

Imho- Mittlework then video- Tm explaining what they are abt to see video and wouldn't surpize me if more TM explaining what they just saw.....Ugh the button won't come out

At 11:44 AM, Blogger lostnuts said...

LOL Dfizz- I'm not alone..

At 11:44 AM, Blogger Cole said...

Hag has it right.

Seriously, as frustrating as it is for some of us, from a business standpoint, they have to make this game as accessible as possible to the unwashed masses.

This means there will be much more leading by the nose than in other ARG's.

It's the nature of the beast.

Listen, my little sister and mother are following this, and they're not exactly what you'd call normal ARG players. They watch Big Brother. I really don't think that something like I Love Bees would bee (hehe) up their alley.

So.... they make it easy and accessible.

At 11:48 AM, Blogger Cole said...

Annnd...by the time I typed all that out, the conversation moved to something else. LOL.

When I get home, I'll post up my updated order. No speakers here, so no idea where those Mittlework videos go in relation to the others. :(

At 11:50 AM, Blogger dfizz said...

there are other ARGs? (other than the da vinci code thing)

cole, i understand what you're saying. some clues could be much easier than others. but just spoon-feeding clues is dumb. not to mention putting clues in windows in australia. not to mention requiring someone to live in the UK to figure one out.

At 11:50 AM, Blogger Cole said...

I'm going to disagree with the Mittlework then video. Clearly, the video preceeds the speech by Mittlework. The beardy video is being videotaped. It's one continuous film. Unless we're all wrong, and Mittlework does a little intro, plays the tape, then gives a pep talk.

I'm sticking with Beardy video, followed by Mittlework & Class.

At 11:53 AM, Blogger chucklez3 said...

yeah, i caught on to their "games" early on. i've been saying since then that 90% of all of them are either "planted" or conveniently "found" by someone who's "in-game".

At 11:53 AM, Blogger Hagbard Celine said...

yeah there is a clip that goes from the video to mittlewerk...so that pretty much seals that he is after it

unless like cole said...he gives an intro then a pep talk

At 11:54 AM, Blogger Hagbard Celine said...

well unless I am wrong dfizz...

*looks around room*

Nobody is forcing you to play the game.
I know I think the friends version of monopoly is retarded...so you know what I do...I don't play it.

At 11:56 AM, Blogger chucklez3 said...

At 11:59 AM, Blogger Cole said...

Once all is said and done, this is a giant advertisement for LOST Season 3. It's not ACTUALLY a game, persay.

The only way advertisement is effective is for it to be as widespread as possible. Making obscure puzzles and long, complicated, reasearch heavy treasure hunts only helps to alienate a large portion of the population from the advertisement.

What sense does that make, business-wise?

Just my $0.02 US.

At 12:00 PM, Blogger The Bandit said...

not bad. I have to be going or I'll be behind schedule.

thanks again buddy

At 12:00 PM, Blogger dfizz said...

i like some parts and not others...and i like learning about the storyline behind LOST. but most importantly, i'm stuck at work without anything else to do. so i kind of am being forced to play.

At 12:01 PM, Blogger chucklez3 said...

you said, "long".

At 12:01 PM, Blogger Cole said...

LOL, dfizz.

As opposed to... working? ;)

At 12:03 PM, Blogger Hagbard Celine said...

No problem bandit...see you east bound and down.

And Cole is exactly right. Are they spoon fed? Yes. Easy? Yes.

But look around...you are part of a game that is taking place on 3 continents with thousands of players world wide.

and its not free. They have to pay for rachels sites...and for the hanso sites...and the actors wages...the scripts...graphic designers.....the video editing...and all the manpower it takes to run them..

all in all abc is shelling thousands of dollars in a hole and getting nothing in return.

I give them credit...I love it

At 12:05 PM, Blogger chucklez3 said...

now go buy some BLAKE'S FLAKES!!!

At 12:05 PM, Blogger Hagbard Celine said...

well I am afraid if you are providing constructive criticism it has fallen on def ears....nobody here has the ability to change what we are doing. Nor do I recall any in game people visiting.

Your providing constructive criticism about the US postal service by talking with Wal-Mart employees

At 12:17 PM, Blogger Cole said...

No, no, no, no... I think you really meant def. As in fresh. And rad. Maybe like the precursor to crunk (although, I have to admit that I'm a bit mystified as to the meaning of that word).

Makes more sense to me, in the context.

I know *I'm* not hearing impaired... ;)

At 12:18 PM, Blogger Hagbard Celine said...

-_-

At 12:18 PM, Blogger Dannie said...

I think Mittelwerk Beardy Mittelwerk has some evidence for it - mainly two distinct camera positions during the Mittelwerk sections we have, but on the other hand as she is hiding behind boxes and filming through gaps there is plenty of reasons for her position to change during the talk. Am mainly sticking to Beardy Mittelwerk as there isn't enough Mittelwerk yet to get much of an idea. Oh and the bit of mittelwerk that could be before sounds a little too much like they (the class) know everything by then. Posted my sequence on the last blog entry if anyone fancies comparing notes.

At 12:21 PM, Blogger Hagbard Celine said...

I however now believe that beardy is not valenzetti

have y'all seen this site??

http://www.se-nse.net/ixalon/codes.php

ixalon (from speakers blog)claims it updates AUTOMATICALLY when ever a released code has been found. If this is true then keep an eye on it for when we can't find a code that's already been found.

At 12:24 PM, Blogger Cole said...

I found that too, gretna.
Simple site, but useful for the missing codes.
Already put it into my bookmarks. :)

Questions? Comments?

Hey Cole,
keep an eye on Beardy's background. I think he starts near the window and there is a picture/certificate frame over his right (our left) shoulder. Then during the "Why all the secrecy fragment" he walks away from the window and the frame towards the desk and wall behind becomes blank. I think that will change your order a bit.
